Heroin Love Songs is published by Jack Henry, Jack is a writer based in south-eastern California in the small unincorporated town of TOAD SUCK. when he’s not writing, jack is mayor and bartender for a citizenry of nearly 32.
jack has been published in numerous journals such as lit up, whiriligig, instant pussy, cp journal, cause & effect, red fez, cc&d, static movement, winamop, clockwise cat and others. he has a chapbook, “SNOW IN SUMMER AND THE PLAYGROUND IS CLOSED” available from SCARS.TV and a new one coming Spring 2009.
His philosophy says that rejection is only temporary and editors are fickle. if not here, elsewhere; if not now, then never. submit without fear.
Jack rocks and I am pleased to announce that he has published my poem “Sugar’d Street Junkie Ghost Makers” in Volume 6 of Heroin Love Songs and is available for free here: http://www.lulu.com/content/7031608
I know the hard work that goes into publishing a magazine but the work us editors put forth with our magazines is a labor of love and we want to see as many poets get the exposure that they deserve. Jack Henry has been working hard for poets for a long time and I am honored to know him and to be part of his publication. Heroin Love Songs is now defunct and will not be publishing any more issues.
